About Reese: Blending Passion and Purpose to Elevate Every Interaction

Reese J. Holman is a visionary in Heartfelt Hospitality, driven to reshape the post-COVID hospitality culture by restoring the industry to its true essence: genuine connection and exceptional service. With over a decade of hospitality experience and a foundation of 20+ years in customer service, Reese believes that “when you take care of your people, they will take care of your guests.”

While metrics like RevPAR Index growth, occupancy, and ADR gains are impressive, Reese champions an often-overlooked key to success: a workplace culture that is diverse, inclusive, equitable, and respectful. Numerous studies link diversity, equity, and inclusion to higher employee engagement and performance, validating Reese’s philosophy that people-first environments lead to thriving business metrics.

Guided by a simple yet profound concept, Reese believes, “Where there is heartfelt hospitality, both guests and staff feel at home.” This welcoming approach naturally enhances guest satisfaction scores and, in turn, strengthens the very metrics the industry values—RevPAR, ADR, and occupancy.

A servant leader at heart, Reese values service, community, and leadership. These principles ground his commitment to empowering others, building lasting connections, and leading by example. He’s an active member of the community and has served in organizations such as Grand Strand Young Professionals and the 2022 Class of Multiplying Good Changemakers. Reese was honored with the 2022 Jefferson Award for exceptional servant leadership—a testament to his impact beyond the workplace.

Professionally, Reese is a Regional Director of Operations with expertise in Training and Development, Revenue Management, and Hotel Operations. He’s also a dedicated mental health advocate for Black men, offering mentorship and coaching in leadership development, team building, life skills, and service learning.

Empowering Conversations that

Illuminate our Path Forward

"Cultivate a Culture of Appreciation"

Recognize and celebrate contributions, whether from staff members or through feedback from guests.  Regularly showing appreciation - whether with a thank-you note, a guest acknowledgment, or an employee reward - reinforces a culture where everyone feels valued.

"Foster Open Communication"

Create an environment where staff and guests feel comfortable sharing feedback, ideas, and concerns.  Open communication channels help build trust, foster understanding, and make both guests and staff feel heard and respected.

"Encourage Moments of Mindfulness and Presence"

Train staff to focus on being present in their interactions.  Simple acts, like giving full attention to guests or having staff check in with each other, help create a sense of genuine connection and show that each person is cared for on a personal level.
